STUDIOVISCOM
Pre-wedding portrait of a couple standing on a boat off the coast of Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Since 1982 · Eleven countries · Three continents

Made to outlast the day.

Studio Viscom photographs and films two kinds of occasion: the wedding a family has planned for two years, and the summit, inauguration or commissioning that a state or a company gets exactly one attempt at.

Weddings

A short list, every year.

Udaivilas in Udaipur. Falaknuma in Hyderabad. Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah in Oman, AYANA in Bali, Grand Hyatt in Mumbai, Raajsa at Kumbhalgarh, and many more. Five weddings in the United States. Pre-weddings in Paris, Bangkok and Dubai.

At this scale a wedding isn’t covered, it’s crewed. Ten days running across Ahmedabad and Udaipur. A reception for ten thousand. Thirty people on the ground, functions happening at once in different cities, one creative director holding a single look across all of them, and the edit already moving while the sangeet is still going.

Thirty-five to forty weddings in a year. Considerably more are asked for.

Most of the best work never appears on social media. A large share of what the studio shoots belongs to families who would rather it stayed off the internet, and that is honoured without exception. What you see here is a fraction of it. Ask, and the work — photographs and films both — is shown privately, in full.

Cut like a film.

Filmed multi-camera in 4K and cut as documentary rather than highlights. Sound is built under picture so the speeches keep their pauses. Colour is graded by hand, toward a look that will still read as deliberate in ten years instead of dated. Length follows the wedding, not a package.

Corporate & government

When the room only happens once.

Prime Ministers, Presidents, Chief Ministers. State summits where a hundred and twenty photographers and cinematographers have worked under Studio Viscom, several formats running at once, edits cut and delivered before the session closed.

Corporate profiles and brand films. Television commercials. Product and catalogue photography. Conferences, exhibitions, industrial and plant documentation. Garba nights and concerts.

None of it is rehearsed. A minister’s schedule moves. A plant runs on its own clock. A summit does not pause for a second take.

The studio

The name is the work.

VISual COMmunication. Bharat Gandhi founded Studio Viscom in April 1982. Dhaval Gandhi joined in 2004, came in full-time in 2009, and leads it today as Director – Creative.

Fourteen people, permanent — two creative directors, five photographers, three videographers, four editors. That core scales to thirty on a destination wedding and past a hundred on a state summit.

“I do what makes me happy, and that is the reason for my success.

Had a wonderful experience working with Dhaval and Studio Viscom. They knew exactly what I was looking for and did a great job with capturing our wedding. The photos and the video trailers are just beautiful and every time I look at them, I find a new treasure or a new minute detail which makes my heart skip a beat, each time, every time. I would highly recommend Studioviscom to any new couple who is looking to be clicked in the most majestic ways possible and have an album of priceless pictures.

I contacted them to take care of my wedding photography and cinematography. I am so glad that I made a right choice. It was the most enthusiastic team and they delivered more than they promised. Thank you team Studio Viscom and Dhaval Gandhi. We would love to work with you again.

Studio Viscom is definitely the best in Ahmedabad. We had them for our wedding and they are just fab, and would love to recommend them for sure. We had fun shooting with them, they have a large and huge team and the shots were just awesome. They also do work out of Ahmedabad for anyone who wants to book them from another state.
