Your own camera is an advantage, and knowing it well matters more than owning an expensive one. Lenses and lighting can be borrowed from the studio on the understanding that they are handled carefully.
Ideally yes, since the studio and the edit suites are here. The team travels across India and abroad on assignment, so tell us where you are based and we will let you know about shoots near you.
Weddings do not fall only on weekends. Mehndi, sangeet and the wedding itself run over several days, often mid-week. Anyone serious about this work needs to be free for the whole assignment.
You will be a member of the crew, not an observer. Alongside shooting, expect to handle equipment, lighting, props and backups. Learning what goes into a wedding before the first frame is the point of the internship.
No. We ask for full commitment to each assignment. Time goes into walking you through the fundamentals, and that only works if you are present from the first function to the last.
While on assignment you work under the Studio Viscom banner and represent the studio to clients and guests. You may show the images you shoot in your personal portfolio. They may not be used for promotion on third-party publications or websites, or for any commercial gain, without written permission.
Neither. You are here to gain real experience on live assignments, which we do not charge for. Travel and stay on outstation shoots are covered by the studio.
The team runs to two directors, five photographers, three videographers and four editors. Openings come up as the studio grows, and interns who work well are the first people we call.
